I’m not kidding. I got to be model in a video to accompany the launch of the new bareMinerals Gen Nude Patent Lip Lacquer, and the video is now live on Sephora!

Please visit and check it out – it’s where the product image is! Scroll over to the video.

Sephora is my favorite store in the whole world. 10 years ago, as a teenager, I didn’t have a cell phone so it would be confusing to try to meet up with my friends if someone was running off schedule. But my best friend always knew that if she couldn’t find me, she could go to Sephora and eventually I would show up. It was an unspoken rule, she just KNEW. Now, she can always find me at Sephora, and so can everyone else!!!

Here’s some behind the scenes at the studio.

I feel lucky to have participated in this shoot. My friend and creative asset guru shared my blog and the ‘Back to You x Primadonna’ music video with the creative and marketing teams, and they picked me! I love this example of what women should be doing more in the workplace and in life – helping each other succeed, building each other up. Thank you Giselle for putting me on!

This shoot was one of my favorite days at work. My only job was to show up to set, put on lipgloss and blow a kiss in front of the camera. I got there in the morning, ate a croissant, headed straight into hair and make up, where two lovely ladies transformed me into the creature you see in the video. When it was my turn to shoot, I got in front of giant lights and cameras, and followed directions; look at camera A, look at camera B, smile, don’t smile, blow a kiss. It was a cake walk. I do not have sympathy for the struggles of modeling life.

Yet another of my pseudo dreams to become a Kardashian has become real, thanks to bareMinerals, our amazing teams, and the Gen Nude Patent Lip Lacquer. I highly recommend the shade Major – it’s a sexy, pinky nude, a nude that if pushed any lighter would make you look a bit dead, or if pushed any darker, would not be noteworthy or have a modern, cool-girl effect. I’ve gotten a lot of compliments when I wear it. Go pick one up!
