The Return of Braid Game + Naked 2

Inspired again by television and hair length permitting, my braid game has made its comeback! I don’t even like Game of Thrones that much, but I am already five seasons deep, and the hair-inspiration is so vast. Today, I pulled my hair into an asymmetrical side dutch braid up do, on 2nd day hair. I’m glad it’s long enough to pull into a braid, even with lots of fly-aways in the back.

If you have medium to long hair, I encourage you to learn how to do a french braid. Besides being very convenient and comfortable, french braids really transform simple into sophisticated. Once your fingers remember how to do this braid, you can easily learn different variations, like the dutch braid and the lace braid. Your options are endless, and maybe your game will be as strong as Daenerys’s!

In other news, I got my hands on an Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette (I know, the hype is over….) which I’ve used on myself today (shades below). I was going for a soft gunpowder smokey eye look, but what I think is even more interesting than the eye today is the highlighter I used on my cheeks, an unlikely contender as a focal point. It’s really fun how the light bounces off the skin, and provides a nice contrast for the bronzer and blush, which I have applied to contour the cheekbones. On lips, I have applied a light nude lip pencil, and a pink lip gloss to keep the look very feminine.

Below is the exhaustive list of products used today (I really went for it, ha!). Hope you’re having a great weekend and I’ll see you soon.
