Smokey Bronze and Red Hot

Raise your hand if you’ve been watching Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Guilty! So I went on this TV watching binge (which I usually don’t do) thanks to granted access to my cousin’s Xfinity account, and then I found myself putting on a lot of bronzer. Slippery slope there…

I am a big fan of bronzer, especially when used for contouring. When I find myself applying bronzer to accentuate my cheekbones, the look always becomes a bit more mature, more polished. It’s one of my favorite make up tricks and one that is made out to be more complicated than it is. I have a flat top powder brush (not even sure if this is the intended purpose of this brush), and I literally just push it back and forth under my cheekbones while making a fishy-pout face. There are plenty of other products and methods to contouring that get really complicated, but I prefer my powder and a brush.

After putting together a smokey eye and a smudgy eyeliner on the bottom and top lashline, a strong brow and a natural-looking lip liner, I wanted the rest of the look to be structured and sharp. I pulled my hair back into a tight bun, and I put on this bright red turtleneck dress that I bought last winter and have yet to wear in real life. I love this dress for the color, the throwback 90’s feel. I kind of feel like Posh Spice and Ginger Spice at the same time.
