Hello my friends!
Do you notice anything different about this photo? That’s right – I’ve got a whole new set up! I moved into a new apartment the beginning of this month and it has been a slow process putting everything together. A lot of rearranging and decorating in my room that needs to be done but I like what I have so far! Since I had been trying to get settled, blogging fell into the back burner, but with the purchase of my new tripod, I will be able to put up more content more often! Very excited about this and today’s post will be to kick that off.
The other big change you’ve maybe also noticed is that I chopped off a good 7 inches of hair! Honestly, I love the look of long hair, especially when it’s curled, but at a certain point the daily maintenance of it becomes way too annoying. At the end of every day, I’d literally have a giant dreadlock at the nape of my neck, from way my hair tangles as it moves throughout the day. I’d been needing to cut it, but this time I wanted it to be a significant change. I went for a ‘lob’ or a long bob, and to be honest, I’m not sure how I feel about it yet. It’s VERY easy to deal with which is amazing, but I’m not sure how to style it. Today, I’ve curled it for a softer, younger look. I always feel that going from long to short hair makes people look more mature, a little more serious, so I was curious to see if a curling iron would help. I think it does!
Today’s face look was designed to compliment the hair. It’s inspired by the cute little dolls children sometimes play with. I used only soft pinks and neutrals today – no lines or contouring. I’m wearing a rose gold eye shadow just above my lashline, with some black mascara. Below that, I’m wearing a dark pink cream blush and some pink lipstick, with a touch of lip gloss. This took very little time to put together since nothing was too precise, so it’s a great look for the morning rush. I definitely felt feminine wearing this today! 🙂
Ok friends, I’ll see you back here next week! I’ll be talking skin care, my favorite!
