Happy Autumn to everyone in the northern hemisphere! I love fall fashion and aesthetic – it is only a matter of time before I paint my lips and nails a deep, dark burgundy red and I am very excited about this! The only thing is that it feels nothing like fall over here because we are having our beloved annual heatwave! Temps are hitting upper 80’s and 90’s, so I have styled myself according to the weather and not the season.
Today I am wearing a pink/purple dress (What is this color, by the way? It’s like lilac and fuschia had a baby, but I don’t know the name!) and I keep make up soft when wearing bright colors because I don’t like to have my outfit and my face compete. I am wearing tinted moisturizer and powder to even my complexion ( I have been fighting some weird hormonal break outs recently and I am very frustrated! ), some bronzer and blush for some extra bone structure, some dark eyeshadow to line my upper lash line + mascara. Finally for lips, I attempted a less intense version the Kylie Jenner mouth, ha! I think her artificial puffed out lips look really good, but really weird at the same time, so I thought I would try to find the medium. I think the key is to wear matte color that’s kind of close to your lip color. Today I used Tarte’s LipSurgence Matte Lip Tint in Hope – it’s a pink/purple (think my dress, but duller). I filled in my actual lips, then decided I could get away with cheating a fuller lip so filled a bit outside of my lipline too. Not even sure you can tell the difference, but you don’t need to do too much ALL the time!
My hair isn’t anything special right now but I did get a haircut as part of my birthday gift to self and got a few layers added and a few inches chopped off. Right now, it’s wet and barely combed through, but it’s such an improvement from my long, one length, split-ended hair- it’s so much lighter and easier to handle, and has a bit of movement now! At some point I will write about a few hair products I can’t live without, hopefully with more polished hair! 😉 But today, it’s a warm and casual Sunday… who’s got time for all that? That’s right, ain’t nobody.

Thanks Ji! Yes! Orchid was the color I was looking for… and it was Pantone’s color of the year so I don’t know why it was so hard form me to remember!! 😉

It’s pretty autumnal here already.. I just hope it won’t get too cold/grey/rainy, that just makes me depressive.. I love sunny autumn, though!
