Today, I am testing out a product that was gifted to me by a wonderful colleague of mine, a true beauty / cosmetics junkie and extraordinaire. It is the SPF 15 BB for Lips in “Flush”. I assumed correctly that this would be some form of a tinted lip conditioner – very sheer, very wearable and super low maintenance in terms of texture and shade.
It’s interesting that Bite has positioned this as a BB product. BB creams have essentially replaced foundation products for an enormous portion of beauty consumers and with this push for a healthier, more natural aesthetic AND feel, the idea of BB cream (a multi-tasking product that moisturizes and hydrates, provides a light coverage and protects from the sun) just makes a lot of sense. This lip product takes the “everything in one” product and just runs with it. From a brief skim through the description, it is meant to moisturize, protect, impart a bit of color and keep lips soft. On top of this, I know all Bite products include an antioxidant called resveratrol, derived from grape seeds and may reverse damage caused by time, the elements, sun exposures. That’s a nice bonus.
First impressions: the texture is wonderful! It feels very much like a lip balm and gives a very subtle wash of color. The lovely lady who gave me this product knew that apricot / warm nude colors tend to look good on me so she kept this in mind. I think this color is very flattering and could work on a variety of skin tones, especially because it is so sheer in color. Since I tend to prefer my lip colors stronger, I layered on a fair amount of this tint, but it actually didn’t feel heavy or gross. It’s a non sticky formula, which I really appreciate! I also enjoy the scent/flavor because it’s not offensive or strong. I have another Bite lip gloss that tastes pretty shitty and I avoid it, but this one is sort of an orange vanilla. Yum!
And here it is on. It’s a great option for a lively and fresh look, but low key. 🙂 It has my seal of approval!

Love the shade. It looks very natural. Something I would like to wear on an everyday basis for work. If you are free please check out my blog http://www.beautypuzzled.wordpress.com x
